NAB Classroom Technology Troubleshooting Tips

 

See steps below if the monitor screen appears off and is not displaying an image

 

1. The computer might be in sleep mode – Pull out the keyboard drawer and try moving the mouse/pressing the keyboard buttons to wake the computerImage of a keyboard sitting on lectern tray


2. Ensure the monitor is powered on – the power button on the bottom right will flash a white light if it’s turned on. If there’s no light, press the button to turn the monitor onImage of the power button on the monitor highlighted with a red circle, then pointing to a zoomed in image of the power button highlighted with a red square.


3. Ensure the computer underneath the lectern is powered on. Open the lower door of the lectern - The power button on the computer will flash a white light if it’s turned on. If there’s no light, press the button to turn it onImage of the computer highlighted with a red circle, then pointing to a zoomed in image of the power button highlighted with a red square.


 

See below if the projector is not powering on

1. Ensure the small screen behind the monitor is powered on – If there’s a black screen, tap the screen to wake it
2. Once it is powered up, tap it again anywhere on the screen to activate the projectorImage of the small screen behind the computer monitor that controls the projector and PC connections.
