Video & Folder Visibility - Panopto Share Settings

Before or after you upload your Panopto video to Brightspace, you need to update your video’s share settings in Panopto so that students may view and/or download your video. Folders also have their own share settings if you plan to share a whole folder of videos (see bottom of document).


 

Video Share Settings

 

STEP 1

STEP 2

Ensure you are viewing the ‘Overview’ menu and navigate to “Downloads,” then change the drop-down menu selection to Authenticated Users with AccessImage of downloads section options under the overview menu, with a red arrow pointing to authenticated users with access option.


 

STEP 3

Navigate from “Overview” in the settings menu to “Share”A red arrow pointing to the Share menu item, indicating to navigate from Overview to Share.


 

STEP 4

In the “Who Can Access” section, select the “Change” button then select your preferred option

Note: The two below options are recommended for student access:

  1. Your Organization (unlisted) - Anyone at your org who has the link
  2. Your Organization – Anyone at your org can find and access
    (when you add the video to Brightspace, students will then have

Folder Share Settings

 

STEP 1

Click “Browse” on the left side of the screenImage of the browse button

STEP 2

Navigate to the top right of the page and click the settings wheelImage of settings gear wheel with red square indicating to select it

STEP 3

In the “Who Can Access” section, select the “Change” button then select your preferred option
