Add a Panopto Video to Brightspace Module

Below are instructions for how to insert an individual Panopto Video into a Brightspace course module

 

STEP 1

 

Option 1
Click into the module where you want to add the video and select “Upload/Create”Image of the "upload / create" option, and Image of list of "New" options and "Create a File" option to select upload from.

 

Option 2
Click the desired option from the top of the pageTwo images - Image on left of "Assignments;" "Discussions;" and "Quizzes" options. Image on right of "New Assignment" option, with text "For an assignment as an example, select 'New Assignment'"

 

 

STEP 2

Click the “Insert Stuff” icon above the text editor and then select “Panopto”Two images - Image on left depicting the "insert stuff" icon, with red arrow pointing right to image of Panopto logo.

 

STEP 3

“Choose” your video file from the list (this will be connected directly to your Panopto folders)
“Upload” the video if you saved it as a file
“Record” a new Panopto video at this moment in timeImage of Choose; Upload; and Record options

 

STEP 4

Click “Insert”  then click “Insert” againTwo images - Image on left of first "Insert" button. Image on right of second "Insert" button.

 

The video will now be embedded – Click “Save and Close” when ready and ensure to toggle student “Visibility” as neededImage of "Save and Close" option and "Visibility" toggle option.
