This article demonstrates how to create an announcement tin Brightspace.
STEP 1:
- From your course, click on the Announcements context menu.
- Select New Announcement.
STEP 2:
- Enter a Headline.
- In the Content field, enter announcement message.
STEP 3:

Navigate to Availability to select the Start and End date.

Make selections for options to show start date and
Remove announcement based on end Date.

The Always show start date is selected by default.
If unchecked, only users with permission to edit will be able to
see the start date in the announcement tool.
STEP 4:
- Attach Existing, or Create and Attach Additional Release conditions.
STEP 5:
- When all availability settings are complete, select Publish.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
Add a File:
- In the attachment section, you can Add a File.
Add an Audio File:
An Audio message can be uploaded as a separate file or recorded
directly from Brightspace.
- Select Upload File, browse and locate your audio file.

Click Add.

A Video message can be uploaded as a separate file or recorded
directly from Brightspace.
