To create a recurring Zoom meeting for your course in Brightspace, you must first make sure you log in to the SUNY Old Westbury Blackboard site. Once logged in to your Brightspace account, access the area where the link for your course's Zoom meetings can be found. If you are unsure how to create a regular Zoom meeting, then first refer to the short guide on how to create a Zoom meeting.
After you have accessed the page where your Zoom meeting can be found, select "Schedule a New Meeting."
In the meeting details, check the box for "Recurring meeting," located under Time Zone.
Once recurring meeting is checked, fill out the details of your recurring meeting. This includes: how often it will reoccur(daily, weekly, monthly, no fixed time), how often it will repeat in the previously selected option(example: twice a week) , what day(s) it will reoccur on(example: Mondays and Wednesdays), and when the last date of the meeting will be.
Note: You can verify if your recurring meeting settings are correct by referring to the bold sentence next to the check box.
After you have filled out your recurring meeting settings, continue to fill out the rest of your meeting preferences as you would for a regular meeting. Once you are finished with your meeting settings, select the "Save" button.
Note: Meeting preferences will be set for all Zoom meetings within the recurring session. You can change a preference for an individual Zoom meeting by accessing that specific Zoom meeting's settings under your "Course Meetings" tab on the Zoom webpage.
Your recurring Zoom meeting is now successfully created. All meetings can be found by selecting either your customized Zoom tool link, or by selecting "Tools" and then selecting "Zoom Meetings." If your creation was unsuccessful then reach out to servicedesk@oldwestbury.edu with your name, course ID, and section number so that a member from the ITS department can properly assist you.
