ID Photo Procedure
Please read carefully and follow these guidelines and directions to upload your photograph.
- No sunglasses, hats, hoods, large head-wraps or scarves (unless required for religious or medical reasons – proof will be required).
- If you are wearing glasses, please make sure there is no glare and we can see your eyes clearly.
- Use a plain or lightly colored background (Hint: You can use a white board, a wall, or even a piece of poster board to create a Plain Background for your photo.).
- Face camera directly. No angled or profile photos will be accepted.
- Photo must be of the cardholder only (no family, friends, animals, objects, etc.).
- Do not use filters (these may change or distort image).
- Photo must be in color.
- Photo should not be blurry, oversaturated, or overexposed.
- Photo must be from top of shoulders to top of head, similar to a passport photo.
- Photo must not contain profane, obscene, racist or sexist words or pictures in background.
Submit one photo only so send your best! You will receive a confirmation email once your photo has been either approved or rejected. Once approved, you can access your Panther Card through the TouchNet OneCard Application. If your photo has been rejected, you will need to resubmit your photo.
You may also have your photo taken on campus in the Panther Center by appointment only.

Online Photo Submission
Use the following process to send your photo in via website:
- Go to the website- https://connect.oldwestbury.edu/
- Click Login
- Enter your Username and Password
- Press Login
- Click on Campus Life
- Select Panther Card
- Select Account
- Select Personal Information
- Select Upload Photo

App Photo Submission
Use the following process to send your photo in via the TouchNet OneCard Mobile App:
- Download the Touchnet One Card Application
- Open App.
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Search for SUNY Old Westbury and click on the school.
- Click Cancel on the Login page.
- Go back to the search page and Search for Old Westbury again and click on the school.
- On the login page click on SSO button. This will bring you to the Old Westbury login page after you are asked for authorization.
- Click OK to Authorize Access.
- Login to Old Westbury with your credentials
- Click the Menu Button (Three lines in the top right corner)
- Click Photo Submit and choose to use your camera or a photo from your library.
- After you chose your photo hit the submit button.

How to Access your Digital ID Card:
- Follow Steps 1 through 9 on the Photo Submission Instructions.
- Click on Access Card to see your digital card.
