Panopto has a feature which allows you to easily insert a YouTube video within your recorded Panopto video
STEP 1
Hover over your recorded video and select “Edit”
STEP 2
Select “Contents” from the menu items on the left
STEP 3
In the edit timeline at the bottom, click a time/location where you want the YouTube video to be inserted
STEP 4
Click the YouTube icon at the bottom of the table of contents on the left side of the page
Complete the settings on the right side of the page:

Enter your desired YouTube link in the “Link” field (ie: https://www.youtube.com)

Adjust the “Time” where you want the YouTube video to begin playing in your Panopto video

List a “Start” time for the content in the YouTube video to begin at that time

List an “End” time for the content in the YouTube video to end at that time

Include or exclude the YouTube video player “controls” for users

Select if you would like the video to “Autoplay” for users or not

Click “Done” when finished
STEP 5
Review the added YouTube content in the Contents timeline on the left – Click it any time to adjust settings (from Step 4) or delete it by clicking the 3 dots menu
STEP 6
Click “Apply” on the top right of the page to save the inserted YouTube video
